Ethics

I feel that I've reached a point where I should start attempting to codify my ethical philosophy.

This page contains my on-going effort at this codification.

Victory of the Fittest

Also phrased as "might makes right" and the golden rule ("the one with the gold makes the rules,") my law of interpersonal conflict is most correctly defined as:

For any conflicting entities, the superior entity within their combined sphere of existence is the one which prevails.

This is definitive, not predictive. In other words, it isn't meant to predict which entity will prevail, it instead defines "the superior entity." Or if you prefer the aphorism; the proof is in the pudding, when it comes to determining the superior entity.

When predicting the prevailing (and therefore superior) entity in any conflict, a holistic view of the entities' sphere of existence must be taken.

This must include the available material resources available to each entity involved in the conflict, as well as the total mental states of all entities within the sphere of existence, including those of the conflicting entities.
